Free return transport, Monday to Friday, from Inverness Tourist Centre to Marina in eight seater (max)minibus

Owner / skipper is Eric Wardlaw.

Ex RAF for 31 years, has changed from the air to sea!  Originally owned boats when I was posted to Cornwall in 1971 and haven't stopped since.  I have been operating wild-life trips since 1997 and originally departed from Nairn harbour which was very limiting due to tide.  I moved boat location to the new Inverness Marina in 2010 and this allows a much more flexible and sheltered area for trips.

The Boat.

Phoenix Boat Trips was named after a project boat, a Nelson 34', that a good friend and I re-built after it was accidently set on fire whilst in Navy ownership.  Hence the name "Phoenix".

My current boat "SEACRUISE" is based on a Westrall 31' Fast Fisher but purpose built from new 1998 as a wildlife boat departing from Kyle on the Island of Skye.  I bought Seacruise in 2007 and she has proved ideal for the new Inverness location.  Seacruise has a "Trihedral hull" which provides a stable platform which allows wildlife watchers to move around the boat without restriction.  There are two open viewing areas and a large passengers cabin to protect passengers from the elements when necessary.  The boat has a licence for twelve and provides a comfortable family vessel which carries all certified safety equipment.

If the sea conditions are rough the trip will be cancelled.  I like to enjoy the trip as well as my passengers!
